Driven by animal welfare, quality and service since 1947, the Soanes family are proud of their traditional values of quality and service when it comes to rearing Yorkshire’s tastiest chickens.
Soanes’ Great Taste Award winning grain fed chickens are reared in light, airy barns with bales to perch on and toys to encourage their natural behaviour and to develop social interaction. Free range chickens enjoy a large area of lush pasture in which to roam and forage, supplementing their cereal based diet with grubs and bugs that they find in the pasture.
The result of this welfare rich life is award winning, firm-textured, tasty and succulent chicken that tastes like chicken used to.
“For four generations we’ve staked our name on traceable, sustainable and responsible farming with high animal welfare standards at our core.”

They take responsibility for their chickens at every stage of the process. Selecting chicks from trusted suppliers who satisfy their high husbandry standards and have 100% control of what happens from the day old chicks to the chicken that they deliver to their customers.
